In this 21st century it's hard and painful to hear and read the various news and articles about the women abusements, Eve-teasing  and rape cases.. After which really the question arises,Whether We, the Women are really safe or not ??

In this modern era when we start thinking that there is no difference between Men and Women according to their work field,Education and profession ,at that time the society forces us to believe that we are totally wrong.It hurts more to know people's mentality towards modern women and girls.At that time I really feel that just for the name sake India is modernizing and developing but actually not...

Recently,few days back read in newspaper that a housewife was being raped by a local Shuttle driver.That Woman was unknown to the city and hired the shuttle and meanwhile the driver took the vehicle towards some other place,raped and then at last  left her near the place where she actually wanted him to leave her before.Before few months another rape incident happened in Park Street,Kolkata which was also painful and yes definitely made a big news in India.I am not getting into that topic as it had become already much controversial and political..But if this is the present scenario then how can we leave home and move freely without any fear ??? The question arises again.. "India is independent,but the Women..are they ?? "....

India is developing and  independent democratic country.So all people have the right to live their life in their own way.Women are of no exceptions in that case too.If a girl wears short skirts,short pants and have fun with her friends anywhere ... will that mean that the girl is slut or of loose character ?? ( Obviously I am not saying about any professional work field where a typical dress code should be maintained..I feel according to the environment and situation we should dress but it doesn't mean that I am opposing to the real fact about which I am discussing here)....

Still in India there are many metro cities where the typical orthodox mentalities are being maintained traditionally.From my practical experiences I am writing it.During my college days when I was in Tamil Nadu I had to face the same problem in hostel.All my dear Tamil readers please don't mind but it is very difficult to digest when anyone teases you by calling " north Indian girls have already bad and cheap character" as we used to wear the dresses as per our wish  may be shorts,skirts and any kind of western outfits rather than wearing always salwar-kameez or any desi dress.. and a place where talking to boys were like a big mistake and had to pay fine for that was typical .. suppose any girl goes ahead and takes step to talk also,Girl has to be blamed not the boy.but why ??? It happened with me... I had few friends in college.Unaware of the fact I used to talk to them and later I got punishment and got to listen the slang about my character..I am neither saying about any culture and any particular state.. nor have wish to hurt anybody's sentiment.,But isn't it damn painful to listen in this 21st century where women are proving themselves in every field ?????

Eve teasing... very much common scenario in every corner of India .. Girl wears good or bad doesn't matter.. they must be teased .. How many girls,women are there who haven't been teased in their lifetime ?? and come on !!! age doesn't matter for the teasers.. if the women is of middle age also she can face this problem... not only teases, the sexual harassments(verbally or physically) in bus,train,trams,road anywhere not only embarrasses a woman but also insults a womanhood.. But if anyone takes the step to protest in strong manner she may have to face bigger problem later.. Yes sometimes doesn't happen and we see also people taking steps against this... but for how long ?? In India there have been such incidents occurring for daily basis..How to stop that ???

Sexual harassments are not only in roads or local areas ,it's tough to believe that in work places also women face the same problem..from the top level they get few embarrassing proposals via mails or messages as a promotional deal.. ?? What 's this ??? These are truly indigestible..Women who work  for night shifts,or come late from office have to travel through hired taxis or hired shuttle.. But few have got the result of trusting ... Then ??Will they stop working ??? Aren't these becoming as obstacles in their career field too ????and normally how do our so called society react if a girl returns home lately ?? People starts gossiping about what that girl does and all ...spreading rumours about the girl ..are common picture to be seen .... Common scene .. here also the girl is victim.. Why always Women ???

Mentality-- is the only medicine to cure the society from this disease. If a girl is getting teased or raped then the fault is not of that girl..nor of her dressing sense..The main reason behind this is the thinking and the way the rapists and teasers look into them..Those ladies,women or teenage girls are just the innocent victims of some sexual amusements and fun....Sad..... and yes I guess the amount of vulgar activities over the media and films and other entertainment source are also one of the biggest cause to influence the sexual thoughts and works as booster for the criminals ....
