Seldom it happens that someone's demise whom you never knew closely or have met in life impacts you so much. Today is such day. I am devastated and most of Indians are. Right next day of Vasant Panchami, Maa Saraswati left her physical existence and attained salvation from all bodily suffering . For past 8 decades, India as well as the World has found the Goddess of music as a lively soul. Being an Art Enthusiast, it was always an admiration for me towards her to attain the 1% devotion she has done to her music while living a most simple lifestyle. In the world of Pseudo Artists and maintaining fake personal relationships and unneeded marketing, these few artists were the ones who we could look up to for constant spiritual ignition that pure devotion to Art can do wonders without glittering and sugar coating much. Today is the day to understand that truth. India is mourning to lose the living Saraswati of this century and we all are understanding the worth of real devotion. Bygone era was the constellation of all pure musical souls and one after another stars are falling down. Everything is becoming History now.

Well, this one was the best end of Bollywood reels of this year I can say. It is been months I have left writing review hence this is also not a movie review. Dangal was not only a movie but a educative slap to all those male chauvinists and to all those creepy women who define feminism in some utter bullshit .. Even I was unaware of Mahavir Singh Phogat & his struggle to make his daughters to shine bright like diamonds. When I first saw the trailer, I knew this was going to be a Dhakkad movie. I googled and was overwhelmed by the culture Mahavir Singh Phogat had in his mind. In spite of hailing from Haryana, a state where honor killing ratio and female foeticide ratio is higher, he had the guts and bravery in him to bring out his two daughters in wrestling. His struggle to polish up his daughters are out of imagination.While watching the movie, I was awestruck. Imagine in real how they had done this all. I hope, all the parents who think having a girl child is like a burden and marriage is the ultimate goal to complete a womanhood will get some lesson from this & at last but not the least, to those women who yell about Feminism and demand their rights verbally or over social media but in reality love to own husbands identity, money and wealth like selfish cats, please do something useful and grow as a better version of yourself. Better yourself day by day. Feminism and Women empowerment is not only about yelling against men, it is about yelling against what you can't do and what you have to do ...
P.S one thing I would love to say here - apart from the topic feminism, in each and every scenes whenever I was seeing Amir Khan was living his heart out to teach his students the best, I could see two faces. One, my parents and Two, my dance teacher. It is true, no one can succeed without a proper trainer. My parents, for whom I have got all the enthusiasm to indulge myself in different activities and to live my life in my own terms without having to listen about Marriage and secondly, my dance teacher for whom in last 6 years I have learned a lot, lot and lot. Starting from Odissi to growing interest in Yoga, from gaining patience and dedication towards something and of course to never say No to anything because she made me believe, everything is possible if we want to do .. Many a times, I told I can't do this. She immediately replied, you can .. I don't know anything else. You have to and I think that helped me a lot personally too. Love and Respect for the real Mahavir Singh Phogat, Geeta & Babita Phogat, to the crew of Dangal (tremendous effort by the four girls - kudos) and My parents and My madam.

It is often mistaken by many of us to understand the words Feminism, Independence and also Women empowerment. & since these talks are making much noise, the term Faminazi came in. Now, what is Feminism? What is independence? What is women empowerment? For me the answers are very simple. But before writing in detail, I must say why am I up to writing on it all of a sudden. Because on social media for quite a long time I have been seeing various posts on FEMINISM and so called women empowerment which utterly mock the real substance. Well let's come to equality, mmm yes we seek equality. Indeed we need equality to break all the social norms which have been suppressing underprivileged woman kind for long time. We need equality to stop facing sexual harassment. But it is very depriving to see privileged women asking for equality & then on the other hand seeking the privileges as of the right for weaker sex. Then how is equality coming into the scene when we women are the first to dominate ourselves and we are ready to accept non-verbally that we are weaker sex and Men need to satisfy few agendas because "cut the crap" we are weak, financially and of course mentally. And this is not the end. There comes another very strong term "Independent". "I am working lady and thus I am independent". Crap !! seriously ?? Then why do most of us become dependent on our partner after marriage (again stating. Not only financially. but .. in all respective ) ? Why do women treat their husbands like their guardian or expect parenting ? Aren't we giving the opportunities to all Men to blame us ? When two people decide to move in together, it is both their duties to solve each problems with mutual discussion, Come on we are responsible and mature enough to take burdens..
Now let me clarify one more thing, Feminism & Women empowerment never meant to hate the opposite sex. Equality never meant of defaming Men. Neither did it mean for a man to dominate a woman and exclude her from all the civil & emotional right to grow. Even a man can be a true feminist. Feminism according to me is to grow. grow & grow as individual and let the other one grow. Feminism for me is to see a man helping his partner, sister or daughter to become independent. Feminism for me is not to kill girl child before birth. Feminism for me is to see a would be mother expecting a girl child without having fear of upcoming obstacles. Feminism for me is to see a girl saying to her own "Yes, why can't I do this ? I am capable enough to have my own jobs done and I am not bothered to ask help for silly things to anyone xyz". . Feminism for me is to be independent so that if any odd comes too, we can be strong enough to cry on our shoulder rather than expecting someone else's. Feminism for me is to have the ability to do all the work by own. Be it household or something related to outer world. And yes this implies for every other human. Feminism is about being our own guardian. I think that is how a true feminist and independent woman sound like. So I request every other woman out their to avoid using such misconception & erase the term FAMINAZI. Please do realize, you are not paralyzed or you were not born to hold some support to grow. You have got the strength that is why God has blessed you to be mother, to start a new life. Be yourself. Love yourself. Grow within. Be a better human being.
And also, to all dear Men, we women love you all. We know even you love us too. Mankind started with both of us. Either or game will never work. Respect each other. Stop fighting everyone and Start living. ♥ ♥ ♥
Lastly, I would love to mention a couple who have given me the real example of true feminism. They are my parents. I am glad to be born at their home. My mother was working but she never ever stepped out of her duty of being a wife and a mother. I have always heard her saying "be self sufficient, so that wherever you go, you don't fear or you don't think of stepping back. You know you can". My father, well I don't know whether in my life I will ever get to see such man or not. An independent personality who managed his fatherhood at his best and also became mother for both of our sisters many a times when my mother was at her work. I have seen both of them cooking together and doing all household work together on Sundays. I have seen them taking financial and other family responsibilities together with same amount of burdens on each. I have never seen both of them interfering in each other's matter. I have never seen my father to stop my mother from growing. I have seen my father to encourage his two daughters like anything. I have never seen them asking us for getting married. I just never faced this. and True, this is actually feminism. It is all about living a life while sharing everything equally and I am blessed to have such parents and feel thankful for becoming whomever(very little though) I am.

It started with 'dil hain chota sa' & 'Rukmani Rukmani' and at that time I had probably the least sensory nerves to feel his music. Yes, after a long hustle and tussle today finally I am all set to write on him and my soul connectivity towards his creation of new aromatic music. Hope you all have got his name on your mind.He is none other than Respected Allah Rakha Rahman [A.R.Rahman], the living music maestro of India. It is not that,in India we have less creative music directors or musicians as India is herself a heritage of art and culture.But regardless of showing disrespect to all of them I just want to and love to place him at the top of my chart among all favorite musicians of my era.
I hardly could understand his essence and versatility of music when DD National used to telecast Roja on every Republic Day/Independence Day. I could match the steps with 'Tanha Tanha' & 'Rangeela Re' everytime Superhit muqabla played, but could never feel the true shades of his various music. I just knew that those were good musics which made me to come up on the floor to dance and that was obvious too. Isn't it? I was an immature kid only and to feel his music one needs to drown him/herself into the flow of his tunes.
So time was passing by and I was becoming a little older year by year. And I don't know when I fell in love with all of his innovations in maddest possible way. Hardly I could and can ignore his creativity.It's true few times I became disappointed with few of his tunes. But for 98% of tunes I fell in love again and again.Over that his calm and serene personality pleases me everytime. "Dedication is the key behind success" - is what he believes.His dedication is more than a dedication.It is much more similar to worshiping. That's what inspires me most. Holiness,discipline, cleanness, spirituality complete his total presence and I feel he surrenders in front of almighty every-time he reunites with MUSIC.
For me his music always connects human soul with nature's different moods & most importantly his music always have achieved spirituality. Spirituality through beats,rhythms & different not so popular yet perfect voices. I feel his music tells to open up your soul towards the creation of god i.e natural aesthetic beauty of world. Few of his tracks always defined the term 'Mukti' to me, it always defined me to be myself & to enjoy my own companion with holding hand of green leaves, blue sky, falling raindrops, roaring sea waves , chirping birds and spiritual chants and much more. He made me groove with his music like a free carefree bird alone, to jump and run like a crazy chap, to shed tears, to love with purity, and to shake my legs & head to keep track of his music beat & rhythm and most importantly everytime he made me to say "What a composition Sir, You are a true genius".

If you are stopping by my post and thinking to ignore it for its PINK title then I must rectify you out and should tell that it is not about any Pink behavior or Pink fascination of girls or women.
Before few weeks or just a month ago I discovered and started doing R&D on GULAABI GANG. I guess many of you already know this and if someone still doesn't have any idea about this GANG like I had no idea before, then this post might bring some knowledge regarding this GANG.
Now if you are starting to rethink about GANGS of WASSEYPUR then I should say again that this GANG is not at all a mafia gang or so called gang. GULAABI GANG might help you to guess that this gang is of women. PINK defines not only a softer and delicate part of woman, but can be the symbol of rebel, revolution and protest..and Sampat Pal Devi has proven it.She founded it to express the action against violent, abusive, dominating behavior on women such as child marriage, dowry, bribes, domestic violence and other unconventional deeds against the rights of women. This gang consists of the female activists who originally belong to Bundelkhand,Uttar Pradesh. They all wear pink sarees and have bamboo sticks with them to beat the abusive men.Thus the gang is named GULAABI GANG.
I didn't know that Sampat Pal Devi appeared in BIG BOSS once as I am not a liker of this show but I just want to put off my hat for her bravery. In a remote village where women get dominated from achieving education and other rights as well, she stood up there and started protesting against the crime just like a HERO and Bollywood is always in love to portray such heroic acts and biographic cinemas. Isn't it? We have seen so many of them last year and this year also we are going to see Mary Kom, M.Subbulaxmi and Sampat Pal Devi too. Who is playing the lead ? Answer is Madhuri Dixit. My favvvvv actress of all time.The movie name is Gulaab Gang where she will be portraying the character of the lead. Though the crew has denied about the fact of getting inspired by the real GULAABI GANG, we understand still.
A message : We need a GULAAB GANG for the so called civilized but yet beastly brutal society to help us and stop the crimes against us. We need to FIGHT ...
