Welcoming the season of laziness
And here India has welcomed Winter...The season of sweaters, mufflers, socks and gloves has come around. Personally I don't like Winter at all, as I am a summer born and have special weakness over the sweaty season and I described it here. Winter reminds me of dryness, laziness, and surely to fall sick [cold, cough, soundless voice and running nose which I am suffering from even now unfortunately]. It's the time about sneezing vigorously, applying petroleum jelly consecutively, and shivering a bit dreadfully.
But still there are few thing which I enjoy [most people do] during winter. Let me sum them up and list them down...
1. Miss and love old school days when used to take out our winter uniforms with so much of excitement and fun to play badminton during afternoon lunch break. I don't know about other states but here, in Kolkata rather I should say West Bengal we all have a tendency to spend our quality times with Racket and feather. Be it in school, picnic or at evening time at 'parar' playground with lights and divider. It is amazing fun and this is the only sport over which I am confident enough [honest confession].
2. Picnic [chorubhati]: Picnic has become a tradition for the 'amude' [fun loving] Bengalis. We always take out our time to have joy and fun and keep ourselves busy throughout the year.So it is another way to gather and have joy [center of attraction for 'bhojonroshik' aka foodie]. Be it a picnic at your terrace with a group of your known or a short trip of 1-2 days. But having picnic is a MUST to have during winter. So I too love the concept of PICNIC. Especially I love the traditional picnic lunch menu items bhat ,daal, bhalo mondo torkari ,alu diye mutton kosha, mach, misti, papor, doi and pan and to sit over the floor and eat on shaal patar thala
3. Cultural Festivals : hmm Kolkata brings so many winter festivals like Kolkata Book Fair, Film Festival, Blah blah blah blah fairs.. Eating out and having a jompesh adda.
so these few reasons are there to cherish Winter. So winter lovers Happy Winter and people like me, try to enjoy with cold cream and Vaseline.

Princess Bride
|| Countless moonlit nights
knitting you both with a blessed curse,
there you are far away
staring at the sky and stars ...
& whispering through her deaf ears ||
(smiles)
|| JULIET is staring at the bright yellow moon,
& waiting at her balcony to see you soon ...
Feeling your murmurs inside
her heart,
wobbling her hair with
light finger touch ... ||
|| Breezy air kisses her mind, body and soul,
pokes her even more
to miss you much
as such
getting lost in her dreamy station
to have an immense session
and running towards the infinite sky,
to merge her soul with her
ROMEO as a PRINCESS BRIDE ||

Journey with Strangers Part VIII
Though after a month I am penning under this label, but you know na... until I meet someone unusual during my journey,I don't write them down.Today I had my journey with a fighter. No don't think about the war fighter[with due respect].She is a survivor.Fighter as a mother and a human.
We often spit on women[due to our unconventional society] if she is divorced or single. In that crowded train she took few of ours attention including mine. She was not having sindoor on her forehead [unlike other Indian married women].The place was empty...blank.She was having only Pola [bangles made of coral, must for Bengali married ladies] on her both hands. She was questioned for not putting sindoor and was criticized thoroughly[We are always more interested in other's life].She kept quite but when she started...I could not stop myself from making my eyes a bit wet.
She started with vexation, sorrow and told that her husband left her and their kids when her daughter was only 6 months old.Now she is 18. She explained with hatred that why doesn't she put the fake Sindoor when he left them at the middle of the ocean. She does have two kids.Elder son and one daughter. Her son is B.A + Comp Engg [final year] and her daughter studies in blind school.Yes !! her daughter is blind. She narrated her life struggle thoroughly within that short period of time.Gradually I could see pride and love for her kids. She was praising her kids like anything. Her eyes were wet but a smile of satisfaction was on her eyes, lips and all over the face. She has been struggling for past 18 years and doesn't even get enough time to love her kids though she is blessed enough to have them as they understand the pain of her soul. Still she was smiling.
I saw a needy woman, a strong mother with such a strong will who has achieved her motto of feeding good food, cloth and proper studies to her kids. She is still fighting and will do further.
I was awestruck and kept on praising her inside my mind.
We are so happy compared to this right ?? But still we are so weak sometimes... May God bless them all and take out all their pain which they have gone through for so long.

Three Boons
If Bhooter Raja from Gupi Gayen Bagha Bayen would have asked me for three boons !! What would I ??
1. To learn dances of all genres and styles..
2. To learn the all languages from all over the world
3. To travel alone wherever I want .... like a bird ... (sundi in revised version)
2. To learn the all languages from all over the world
3. To travel alone wherever I want .... like a bird ... (sundi in revised version)
---------- Official wishes directly from the den of my heart.... which I was suppressing for so long !!
And additional to this would like to state that everyone does have their wishes which sometimes are not at all possible. They may be a bit weird, crazy and funny too.But thinking of these help to make us feel better.
So would you mind sharing few of them to me ??
If not then feel free to comment...

Take me to the world of
Take me to the world of silence
take me to the world of my sense
may be a sea shore
or rocky chilled mountain
may be an aloof island
or the green dark woodland
I will talk to myself
and date the human absence..
Take me to the world of silence
take me to world of my sense..

Thus She arrived !! and blessed us with happiness
In the darkness,at mid night... the dusky black goddess arrived on earth.
Happy Diwali once again to all of you.Hope everyone has enjoyed choti diwali and Kali puja in some prosperous manner.I spent it really nice. The city was so alive yesterday with lights, bulbs, sounds and show of crackers.I did my best to feel good and make my home look bestest of it.For me spending time with family on festival is the most pleasant feeling ever. And for the first time I witnessed the whole rituals of Kali Puja and became the part of it which was surely a new and holy feeling. As I mentioned at mid night she arrived when we all were praying her with ULU(a special holy sound made by twisting tongue repeatedly....done by women),Dhak and Ghanta ... Yes she was there...Ma Kali was there .. alive...and there she blessed us and made us happy.
Once again !! Happy Diwali....
