Yellow Scarf

Long awaited years are gone,
colored my hair a little blonde ...
My mind is now an open sphere
got time to spree ...
Unfolded my curved emotion
&
freed the string of last wing
voided all the crisis
Yup !! you may call it,
 the happy METAMORPHOSIS ...

My little finger has tied the yellow scarf
and I am ready to hold it
in front of the windy monsoon sky
so that it can FLY ...♥♥

It's not the city where I used to live once ....

Everyday in the morning, while opening the newspaper I hope to not see any dark news headlines on women molestation especially in my state. But for past few years, scenario has been changed drastically and the headlines give my brain a harsh kick to stop imagining of such positive prayers.

Yes, I am born and brought up in this city which was once a pride for me to fiercely state that "Kolkata is much safer than other metro cities". Because earlier I never had any fear of moving out at evening and coming home around 10. I knew that nothing bad would be going to happen at least, no one could have that guts to drag me and then slap me or molest me in public place or rape me. Though I am stating that there were no records of such incidents earlier, but not at this rate. Now opening a newspaper implies to move a step forward to the door of scary nightmares and insecure thoughts and recently another news came up here where the girl was dragged, slapped and beaten in front of the crowded mall just because she refused to marry the guy she was dating once. So girls, remember you have lost that option too to express your opinion. I don't understand how does  a man get this much gut to beat a woman in front of public place. Even some boy friends too beat up, slap, pull and drag his partner in public place. Insane .. so in yesterday's matter, it was stated like the crowd watched but did not help the victim even after she asked for help. Yes, we all have become numb, dumb and technically paralyzed. Don't you think some incidents have made us to be like that ??  If someone is protesting against anything wrong, what do they actually get in return ?? Losing life brutally. And yes Bengal has recently seen that incident where the boy was brutally killed into many pieces and on the other hand Bengal has heard a M.P to threaten openly in public sphere to rape the opponent parties women relations, where the so called M.P proudly providing heated enthusiasm to all rowdies to act the worst more and more.   And at last where our beloved C.M calls these all incidents SMALL !! Then how will we protest without any fear ? How will we be assured of getting proper justice ? How will we go out at night around a silent street without carrying any fear? It is the state being ruled by a woman right ?? Then why are we all women suffering in this city most after Delhi ? Why has suddenly the tag with the most unsafe city got stuck over Kolkata ??

This is surely not the city where I used to live once !!

My Eyes Are ....

My eyes are dying young
too young
carrying the glister water
that shakes too faster
...
My eyes are dark
too dark
to look at those colorful wings
of that incredible sculpted paint
by Nature's rainbow
...
My eyes are big enough
too big
to see the warmth
that butterfly carries in its touch
...
My eyes are stunned enough
too stunned
that it can never feel bad
when I am hurt

Khide Peyeche ....Ami Khabo ... [I am hungry..I will eat]

By nature I am a foodie and anything delicious just makes me hungry. Over that I love to cook. Cooking is my greatest pass time. May be the thought "I am going to eat good" has made me a good cook and also cooking for my loved ones gives me a different level of pleasure which can't be described. I do have a cooking blog too and is linked with this blog too. But as per the conditions given, no pictures are allowed to show right ? So am not going to put any link from that blog as you can look after so many food's pictures out there.

As I said I love to eat so anything delicious ponders my heart and stomach. But still there is a pleasant fantasized thali which I love to eat when I am hungry to the core. You know, I am talking about the basic hunger. Like "Pet main chuhein daudnein type" and that is very own Bengali Thali.

Let's make a scenario which can let you think a bit in a better thoughtful manner.

Oh !! The scorching Sun is giving too much heat and that too waiting for bus in bus stand is pathetic right now. I am checking my wrist watch.. oh !! it's going to be 2 p.m. So my Sunday lunch is going to fade away. No !! with no lagging behind I am just calling my mother.

Ma, What's there in Lunch ??
--First come home, there are so many.
Ok. I am coming. It will take 30 mins more. Please wait for me. I want to have my Sunday lunch with you.
--Ok. don't worry. Come home safe. See you.
Tata

Yeas !! I am  home and ringing the door bell.

"Hurry ma.. Open up .. ar parchi na [can not resist]"

-- Yes dear, wait.. coming.
There she has opened the door and I am finally home and so hungry.

Ma I am going to get freshen up.
-- Ok. I am making the lunch ready.

and now I am right in-front of  dining table sitting with my Thali of Bengali Meal.
The Thali is having all my favorite dishes.

1. Brass plate consisting of Round shaped Rice monument, garnished with Lemon and Green chilli
2. Just beside the Rice I am seeing my favorite aloo makha [Smashed masala Potato] and Ghee
3. Wow, there is Begun Bhaja too. [Fried Brinjal]
4. Yummy. Ma has prepared Rui mach Bhaja [Deep fried Rohu] too ... I love you ma
5. Just beside my plate, I can see tomato Dal, sprinkled with a little bit ghee over the top.
6. Eee.. There is a bowl filled with Muri Ghonto... [A traditional dish made by Bengali. Made of Rice and Rui Macher Matha or Rohu Fish Head]
7. Ma how much did you cook ?? even Rohu Kalia too.. Yummy.
8. At last the thali is completed with Mishti Chashni of AAM.

Ma you just made my lunch a super lunch.. Like other typical Bangali.. it's time to give a short Bhaat Ghoom now !! Ahhh

Don't know how was the scenario which I tried to create ... Though it's not totally my creation. It happened so many times and when the real hunger strikes my stomach I get nothing better other than simple Bengali Bheto Thali .. That just completes me and puts my stomach in peace. I hope that I could describe the thaali in a manageable manner without showcasing any picture of it.

Will my DRESS tell you that I am not Modern ?

A very wonderful topic Gaurav has posted this time. A very thoughtful and very well picked. Congratulations and Thanks both Gaurav for the #INDISPIRE topic.

The topic is

If you value your traditions and culture, you're branded conservative. While modernity is judged by clothes rather than thoughts. What's you take on this topic?

First Question : What is the relation between Clothes and Modern Thoughts ?? No, I am just asking Does they have a systematic formula of being proportional or inversely proportional ?

My answer is Strictly NO... They are never inter related and neither these equations are true always ..

Modern Thoughts = 1 / (Old fashioned Clothes)

Modern Thoughts = Modern and Trendy Outfits

So I just stated here that these equations are not always true. I could say that these are never true. But I know that the society, the culture we are living in are having different kinds of personalities, different kinds of thoughts, different kind of outlooks persist in this world. Hence it can not be stated that your vision is always hidden in your cloths.

For me Modern is that person who is always capable of accepting everything new, everything which is changing day by day. For me that person is modern who loves to adjust his/her comfort zone according to the circumstances of evolution rather criticizing it in negative manner. He/ She can be old and can wear the traditional typecast Saree or Dhoti, but can be very much modern from heart.. On the other hand a person who is the typical trendy and well fashioned by her get up, can be really conservative. So there can never be any judgement. Cloths can define your taste, your likes and dislikes but can not always be true to express your vision and thoughts.

Hence, Judging a people just by the outer look is not right. Rather try stalking the heart.

P.S just wanted to share so writing one thing. My mother can be a very good example of this topic. She is my traditional 'Ma', always wears Saree and Red Bindi on her forehead, loves to live a very simple life. I have never seen 'Ma' to attire in so stylish way. Yes I know her profession was quite responsible for that. I have been seeing her in my own 'Ma' way since childhood. But I really get amazed by some of her thoughts which she shares and sometimes advises too. I have hardly seen so soulfully modernized woman at her age. I am not praising it because she is MY mother.. But as a person of my age anyone would tell the same and I am lucky to have her as my friend, guide and my MOTHER. On the other hand, I am a person of this Gen.. open to experiment with XYZ cloths, but still I am agreeing here, that in some of the cases I am a bit traditional and hold some old fashioned ideas which MA surely beats up.

Just thought to share so shared this one !!

Hence... My DRESS can not judge my outlook !!
